Seating Shapes the Way We Live
Seating defines the spaces where life happens.
Seating areas are one of the most powerful tools we have in interior design. They quietly communicate how a space is meant to be used. A pair of chairs pulled close together clearly invites one-on-one conversation. A generous sectional layered with cozy fur throw blankets encourages you to settle in and stay awhile. On the other hand, firm, upright chairs arranged in neat rows communicate the formality of a doctor waiting room. Without saying a word, the design and furnishings of a space clearly communicates how a space is intended to be used.
Furniture speaks a language. And seating in particular plays a key role in influencing how a space is used. When designed with intention, a room broadcasts its purpose without saying a word.
In our projects, we pay close attention to how seating areas are planned and designed. We design to support the lifestyle and desires of our clients. Are they a busy family that loves to entertain? Or do they value quiet nights at home with an emphasis on comfort and calm? The seating in each how may be vastly different depending upon the needs of the client. Many factors affect the overall design. We consider all of them when planning and designing of the seat and flow for each room as well as the overall residence.
When working with a designer, be sure to consider how you want to feel in your interiors and what you want your interiors to communicate. Do you want the energy to be relaxed and cozy? Elegant and poised? Modern and adventurous?
Our goal is to ensure your home feels the way you want it to feel. It should reflect your personal style, your passions, your preferences and your experiences. That’s the meaning of home.
