For this Buckhead residence, Minhnuyet Hardy Interiors layered a deep green velvet sectional against black walls, grounded it with reclaimed wood and a Berber-style rug, and let one bold piece of art hold the wall.
The result is a living area that feels equal parts speakeasy and sanctuary.
What makes the room come alive is the unusual mix of dark walls against the vibrant colors of the upholstery and artwork. The rough unfinished rawness of the coffee table and subtlety of the wool rug further ground the room. It gives this otherwise dramatic gallery-esque living area a warm, cozy lodge atmosphere.
