“Seek home for rest, for home is best.”
I love clean, uncluttered, contemporary spaces (if you don’t believe me, just check out my portfolio), but to me, in order for a space to be “home,” it has to be comfortable, as well. While great interior design will always be King, comfort and function are most certainly Queen.
So what am I getting at? That Thomas Tusser is so right! Home IS the best and that is exactly why I am writing this blog post highlighting cushions and poufs. Because nothing says rest and relaxation like cushions and poufs. Am I right?
Relax, just pouf it.
6 Contemporary Cushions & Poufs for Your Space:
1. KNOTSstudio Floor Cushions
Kick your tired feet up with these knotty floor cushions from KNOTSstudio on etsy. They are handmade in Israel and boast many uses. Floor cushion, foot stool, meditation pillow – basically they exist to make you comfortable. What’s not to love?
2. ku me ko Knotty Floor Cushion
Inspired by old weaving and basket making techniques, this cushion is totally unique and its stuffed with foam (so its really comfortable). I love the gray tones it’s available in, as well (because we all know gray is the new beige).
3. Surya Pouf Cube Ottoman
This pouf reminds me of stone. I love how it has a natural element sort of feel to it. It’s made from wool, as well, so its soft AND durable.
4. Scandinavia Modern Pouf Ottoman by Jaipur Rugs
Made with with 100% wool and filled with polystyrene and foam, this modern pouf reminds me of a comfortable sweater. Its fashionable to look at, but oh so cozy and comforting.
5. Mayfair Pouf Ottoman by Bashian Rugs
This hand stitched pouf by Bashian Rugs is so on trend right now. Its contemporary and chic, but still soft and comfortable – the best of both worlds.
6. West Elm Mongolian Lamb Pouf
These are the softest poufs ever! They are made from Mongolian lamb fur and fit in pretty much any space. They are chic and glamorous while being functional – yes, please!
If you cannot tell already, I love cushions and poufs! Are you a believer yet? Do you like the cushions and poufs above? Do you have any in your space? I would love to hear from you!
