What man cave is complete without a tv, you ask?
That’s why I’ve compiled a list of the best smart TV’s on the market right now so you can take the guess work out of finding the right TV for your space.
Best Ultra HD 4K TV according to Tech Radar:
According to Tech Radar, this TV is:
Samsung’s 2015 flagship TV leverages new brightness and colour technologies to take LCD picture quality to a whole new level – especially once true HDR content starts to roll into town. The difference its HDR technology makes to picture quality is immense – more impactful by far, in fact, than the step up from HD to UHD.
Its listed at about $4500 on amazon.com for a 65 inch model.
Best Smart TV Overall according to Digital Trends:
LG UB9800 4K UHD TV
This is what Digital Trends had to say about this technologically advanced TV:
Once the operating system for HP’s now-defunct Palm devices, webOS takes on new life as the operating system for LG’s best smart TVs, and earns our top slot as the fastest, most intuitive, and, well, smartest system in TV land. Rather than force you to navigate multiple screens or sift through several menus, webOS organizes all of your pertinent apps, input options, and other popular destinations in a river of tiles at the bottom of the screen. Adding to webOS’s ease of use is LG’s Magic Motion remote, which lets users point and click their way around, not unlike a Wii controller.
This TV is listed at $2,788 on amazon.com for a 65 inch model.
Best Picture AND Sound Quality according to Tech Radar:
Video from Techno Up Review
Tech Radar says,
The 75X9405C’s pictures boast gorgeous colours and one of the best contrast performances in the LCD TV world. Its sound quality is equally stellar, and some aspects of its smart TV features are well thought through.
Aside from its headline Android TV smart platform failing to convince everyone it’s the future of smart television, the 75X9405C is an unmitigated success. Its picture quality is even better than anything Sony managed to produce with the highlight models from its 2014 4K TV range, and its incredibly powerful and dynamic audio is literally music to your ears.

Technology has advanced so far in recent years and TV’s seem to be advancing at warp speed. Its hard to know the best value for your buck, but I hope this list helps you narrow down some of the best TV’s on the market right now.
Here are a few extra tips that I have found helpful while working with clients as choosing a TV can be SO overwhelming…
- Choose a budget and stick to it.
- Choose the size of the TV based on the size of the wall you are placing it on/or in front of. Bigger is not always better as you do not want the TV to dwarf your space.
- Decide if the difference between a $4000 TV and $1000 TV is worth it for you. (How much time do you spend in front of it? – That can be a determining factor).
- Go see the TV in person and decide if you like the picture and sound quality. Buying online is a great option, but I would definitely recommend seeing it in person first.
