Brocade

Brocade is a thick, heavy textile with a raised design that resembles embroidery.

It is usually composed of silk, rayon, nylon, or polyester.  Brocade dates back to the middle ages and is still relevant today – talk about timeless style!

Depending on your interior design preferences, brocade may or may not be for you.  I find it works quite well in more traditional spaces, though in the right pattern and color, it can work in contemporary spaces, as well.

What do you think?  Do you like brocade?  Have you used it in your interior?  I would love to hear from you!
